Ok. Well this was probably the most we’ve done in one weekend since Terry and Kathy came to visit! Today, we actually didn’t do anything but some craziness definitely ensued. We woke up and of course “you know who was peaking” in the windows.....Oscar. But we are used to it at this point, so nothing really surprises us. But one thing that did surprise us was the pollitos! Pollo means chicken, and anything with “ito” at the end means really little. Basically pollitos are baby chickens. Patricia’s papi, Carlos, bought some pollitos this weekend, and Dani came out to show them to us. I guess he’s going to use them for eggs....or fried chicken eventually. I really have no idea, but it was cool to hold the pollitos!
Later in the day was the biggest storm we’ve seen since we’ve been here! I was pretty much like a mini hurricane. The rain was pouring so hard, and the sound of it bouncing off the tin roof was so loud, you could barely hear yourself speak. Then came the hail! That’s when we started to worry a little bit. But the hail was only pin head size so there was no damage. However, the wind was so strong that it knocked over 2 of the banana trees in the yard!
To see more pollito pics and video of the storm, you know where to find them. Oh and be sure to check out the blog later this week! We are expecting some permanent visitors!
