Ok. Day 2 was good....we think. Amy interviewed with the Butler Academy. We had MUCHO trouble getting there. First, we didn’t have the phone number. We got the number in the strangest way. I did a google search for the Butler Academy and they didn’t have a website up. But there was a link to some family’s travel blog and in the blog there as a picture of Josh Butler, the owner of the school. Behind him in the picture was a poster with the phone number on it. So now that we had the number, we needed directions. Amy called and got directions, but no address. We found out very quickly that there basically is no such thing as an address in Costa Rica. Whenever you ask for an address, you get something like this:

“Go to the southwest corner of central park then go 200 meters south, 100 meters east, then 25 meters south, directly across from the appliance store.”
(100 meters means 1 block)

I am dead serious. NO ADRESSES. Businesses actually write stuff like that on their business cards. It’s absolutely INSANE.

Anyway, we found the place eventually, and Amy had like a 10 minute interview. They basically hired her on the spot, or at least we think they did. They never actually said you’re hired. The thing that is really interesting is that they also need a website and help with maintaining their site, so I may also have a job. They also said that if I was interested in teaching that they would work something out for me. Basically, Amy and I are no  longer worried about getting a job. It seems like it’s not that hard. I wish getting a job in Colorado was that easy.
